It was with much sadness that the directors of Exmoor Associates learnt of the passing of Mike Selby on Wednesday 26 October; Mike passed away peacefully in Epsom Hospital where he had been receiving treatment.
Mike was one of the four founding directors of EA back in 2002, and became its largest shareholder. His wise counsel will be greatly missed.
At present, we have no details of any funeral arrangements.

Thanks for your support in recreating the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway. May you RIP my dear friend.
I would venture to suggest that without Mike we would probably not have Woody Bay nor would the railway have survived its early days. Your generosity knew no bounds. Neither did your sense of fun. Good times!
I should like to thank everybody who has posted such kind comments about my brother Michael. It is good to remember him in this way. I think I should mention that Michael’s birth date was actually 13th July 1936 not 1937.

Date changed! Thank you for pointing this out, John
Mike was a true gent and one of those who we should all remember for what he has done for this railway; thank you from a fellow L&BR enthusiast.
