Exmoor Associates attended the Combe Rail Model Railway Exhibition at the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe on Saturday 8th September. Organised by Combe Rail and Taw Link, the Exmoor Associates stand was manned by EA volunteers Chris Lane and Barry Marshall.

Chris Lane bought his Ordnance Survey map coloured-in to show those sections of trackbed already owned by Exmoor Associates and the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway. Barry Marshall brought EA’s photographic display boards.

The EA and L&BR stands were immediately adjacent to each other so as to present a unified approach to visitors. The L&BR table was managed by Anne Belsey which set out to publicise the Railway with its display boards depicting the Planning Application together with a collection of the Railway’s publicity leaflets. She was assisted by Trust member Keith Lamprey.
Visitors to the exhibition included a mix of residents, holiday-makers and those who had already visited, or were intending to visit, Woody Bay, so we were all able to enlighten and educate an interested public.
